February 2013 GlossyBox

This months GlossyBox was their 1 year anniversary box. I was very excited to receive this box as I was expecting big things for it! When I received the box I was presently surprised as the box itself was different from previous months however when I opened the box I was kind of let down by what I found in the box. I was expecting something different from their previous boxes but all of the products were pretty much the same that they send every month aside from the cupcake kit. My favourite item received in this box was the Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment, I can't wait to try this stuff and see if it compares to the Moroccan Oil that I have fallen in love with.

January Glossy Box

I recently resubscribed to the monthly beauty box called Glossy Box. I had unsubscribed as i felt the quality of the products were not meeting my expectations and they were upping the monthly fee from $15 to $20 and i felt this did not make any sense. However, i got a raise at work and missed getting the box in the mail and trying products i would never pick up for myself other wise. So i signed up again to get it.

Spring Has Sprung!....?!?!?

Yesterday was the first day of Spring! However living in Canada this really means nothing. Below is a picture of what I'm dealing with today.....

So to feel more Springy, I thought I would share some of my favourite fashion trends for Spring 2013.

Jean Shorts - I think these are going to be everywhere again this Spring/Summer. I know they were pretty big last year and I didn't really jump on the train because I just feel jean shorts are kind of cheap looking and I personally wear jeans everyday during the fall and winter and feel like they deserve a rest during Spring/Summer. With that said, these shorts from Forever 21 are adorable and I could see myself wearing them.

 

Tribal Prints - These tops are also from Forever 21. I love the colors! Tribal prints are fun to play with if you are tired of stripes and floral prints.

 



Little Lace White Dress - I think that every girl needs to have a cute little lace white dress in her closet to pull out for that hot date night or shopping/lunch with the girls. I find wearing white makes you look tan, healthy and fresh. For daytime I would just throw on the dress and pair with simple jewelry and simple sandals. For night I would add a colorful piece of jewelry to dress it up. These dresses can all be found on the Forever 21 website.

 

Haul - The Body Shop

I went to The Body Shop and picked up some products for a new face cleaning routine. I have been dealing with breakouts pretty bad lately and I’m trying to find a product that works well but is not too expensive. I also want something that is not too hard on my skin and smells good!

Over the Top Swap Event 2011

So today I went to a clothing swap our city puts on once a year. This event allows you to bring gently used or unused clothing and accessories that are taking up room in your closet and swap it for something you might actually wear!  

I received 4 bronze tokens, 6 sliver tokens, and 1 gold token for the stuff I took in. With these tokens this is what I got below. I think I did pretty well for only spending 15 bucks to get into the place!

Neutrogena  - Nourishing Cream Cleanser – Night Calming

I use this every night before I go to bed. It cleans all my makeup off very well, even my mascara and eye makeup. It’s a great all-in-one makeup remover. I think the best thing about this product is the smell. It has a unique calming fragrance. The description on the bottle says it “helps you unwind and prepares you for a good night sleep” and it really does! I use to hate washing my face every night but now I can’t wait to do it because of the smell. It’s a great product and really does help me relax and get ready to go to bed for the night.

Nivea  - Milk & Honey Lip Care

Love this stuff. It feels so soft on my lips and the smell is so nice. It’s a relaxing and soothing smell. I notice that it also last longer then most of my lip care products that I use and that’s a nice thing. I don’t feel I have to keep reapplying it. I use the product almost everyday and have had one stick for  8 months!
